Bio
Born in Southern California, Kathie Touin now makes her home in Scotland's Orkney Islands where she works from her own Starling Recording Studio. She has released three albums, an EP of original songs and a solo classical piano album.
Covering all aspects of a project, Kathie writes music and lyrics, does arrangements, recording, production and mixing. She also composes instrumental music and has had her work recognised by the George Mackay Brown Centenary project and Orkney Music & Culture.
Primarily a pianist and keyboardist, her playing ranges from classical and jazz to progressive rock and industrial electronic music. Currently working on her next album, due in 2027.
